Salt Lake Behavioral Health (SLBH) has been transforming lives for over 10 years by providing exceptional patient care. Our hospital is a 118-bed free standing acute psychiatric and substance use disorder hospital located in beautiful Salt Lake City, UT. SLBH serves adults (18+) and adolescents (12-17) who require acute inpatient or intensive outpatient services as a result of a behavioral health or substance abuse crisis. SLBH serves patients from Utah, the Intermountain West and throughout the United States. We provide services for a number of Native Tribal Members from the Ute, Navaho and Shoshone-Bannock Tribes. SLBH’s Strong-Hope military program serves active duty soldiers struggling with PTSD from the United States and overseas. We provide acute crisis stabilization in our general adult and crisis Stabilization Unit as well as our adolescent inpatient unit. Our Strong-Hope military trauma program and 30-day SUD rehab program are longer programs with approximately 30 day stays. The average acute stay is approximately 7 days. Our hospital is only 15 minutes from Salt Lake City International Airport.
Therapeutic services are provided in dedicated treatment units with highly trained and specialized treatment providers. Each program functions under the direct supervision and involvement of the Psychiatrist and includes a Nurse Manager, Clinical Program Therapist, RNs, Behavioral Health Techs, Pharmacist, Primary Care Physician, Dietitian, and Recreation Therapist for Music, art, pet, yoga and Tai Chi experiential therapies.
