About Advanced Oxygen Therapy Inc.
Advanced Oxygen Therapy Inc. (AOTI) provides a unique cyclical-pressure Topical Wound Oxygen (TWO2) therapy for nonhealing wounds. This multi-modality adjunctive treatment provides continuity-of-care all the way to the patient’s home. Something that has been proven invaluable for high-risk chronic wound patients, especially during the COVID-19 Pandemic.
The addition of a new larger extremity-chamber to the company’s peripheral vascular disease (PVD) focused product line, allows for the application of TWO2 treatments for many more patients suffering from costly nonhealing chronic wounds. Especially addressing the needs of patients with larger limbs, or those with diabetic foot ulcers (DFU) being offloaded using a total contact cast (TCC), as well as with venous leg ulcers (VLU) being treated by conventional compression dressings (CCD) or UNNA boots.
TWO2 treatments are applied at home, 5 times a week for, 90 minutes, without the need to remove gas permeable dressings, with oxygen diffusing easily through TCC, UNNA boots and CCD, working synergistically with adjunctive treatments. TWO2’s multiple mechanisms of action address the numerous challenges faced across the wound healing continuum – including inflammation reduction, infection management, angiogenesis, collagen synthesis and edema resolution, resulting in more robust and durable wound healing for up to 36 months. TWO2 therapy has been demonstrated in leading clinical trials to be as much as six times more effective in both healing and reducing recurrence of chronic Diabetic and Venous ulcers for up to 36 months. (1, 2)
By treating a rapidly growing number of patients with TWO2 at home during this crisis, AOTI has been able to not only help heal their wounds, but due to the clinically proven antimicrobial properties of the therapy, greatly lessen their risk of developing infections that are increasingly resulting in emergency department visits, hospital admissions and even amputations.
