Zach’s journey to cannabis started years ago when he started working for a Private Equity firm that specialized in Gaming/Casino Operations & Ownership. Zach became a Marketing & Relations Strategist, overseeing everything from local guerrilla marketing campaigns to strategic VIP and political agendas. During that tenure he was able to understand and dissect multiple different markets and demographics which would ultimately help guide his business decisions in cannabis later on.

 

After his PE venture Zach started working in the tech space working with an LED lighting manufacturer where he became the COO & Partner for the Largest OEM and ODM for the world’s largest lighting company.  Zach was able to open a Corporate office and National distribution, consulting and ESCO group here in the states, where he was able to exit and then focus on cannabis fulltime.  Once Zach entered the cannabis/hemp space, he was able to become the first USDA certified organic CO2 extractor in the country. After seeing the medicinal benefits firsthand of what CBD and other minor cannabinoids were capable of doing, he decided to then venture into the THC Cannabis space.

 

Zach started in the Detroit, Michigan market becoming a State Director, then off to Mississippi and Illinois being a VP of Ops for the largest Privately held & Publicly held MSO’s in the country.  Having held roles in multiple states in cannabis understanding markets and trends, working in the hospitality industry and being an expert in manufacturing and supply chain management, accepting the CEO role for White Earth’s Cannabis business (Waabigwan Mashkiki) was an easy decision to make.  Currently Zach is building out the Minnesota Tribal Market with other Tribal partners ensuring everything from best-in-class genetics are being used to making sure there’s a robust seed to sale tracking system in place for Tribe to Tribe and Tribe to State transactions. His passion for building successful teams and businesses is a cornerstone of his business acumen which equates to creating longevity and generational opportunities for his staff in the industry.
