Zach Atherton-Ely is VP of Strategic Growth Initiatives at Mille Lacs Corporate Ventures. Zach is responsible for developing MLCV’s identified core capabilities and overseeing the execution of key business priorities. He collaborates with companies focused on doing business with minority-owned organizations, expands strategic partnerships, explores unique opportunities, identifies and analyzes acquisitions, and works with government affairs to protect and advance the interests of MLCV and its businesses. Zach’s expertise is in Gaming Law, Federal Indian Law, Tribal Law, and general Corporate Law. Prior to becoming VP of Strategic Growth Initiatives, Zach served as MLCV’s Associate General Counsel. He has previously worked for the Mille Lacs Band of Ojibwe as a Senior Deputy Solicitor General, and for the Ho-Chunk Nation Judiciary as a Staff Attorney. Zach has also taught as an adjunct professor at the University of Minnesota Law School and the Mitchel Hamline School of Law.
