Todd Burnett is a National Clinical Psychology Lead and Suicide Prevention Operations Administrator within the Office of Mental Health and Suicide Prevention. He is responsible for the executive oversight and operational execution of VHA’s National Suicide Prevention Strategy, Veteran Suicide Annual Report, suicide prevention policies, partnerships, national educational and outreach campaigns, research initiatives, grants, and coordination of White House, Congressional, and other federal, state, and community partnerships.

Dr. Burnett joined the Department of Veteran Affairs as a Regional Chief Mental Health Officer for Northwestern US and has served as acting VA Medical Center Director in multiple high-complexity (1a) medical centers, acting Network Director for the MidSouth Network, and served as the Deputy Network Director from 2016 – 2021.

Dr. Burnett holds 3 graduate degrees in Clinical Psychology and Counseling. He is married to Dr. Julie Burnett, who along with their two sons, resides in Nashville, TN.
