Stanley LaRoque

Director - Native Healing Program | Oglala Sioux Tribe

Mr. LaRoque began his work in addiction treatment in 1989 and earned his Master’s in Social Work in 2001, with minors in Indian Studies and chemical dependency. He has contributed to the development of inhalant abuse programs in Alaska, Washington, and Montana, and played a key role in establishing culturally responsive treatment programs for Native youth. As Director of the Native Healing Program with the Oglala Sioux Tribe, he led the program to state accreditation and third-party billing. He currently serves as President of the Great Plains Mental Health and Substance Use Disorder Directors Association and Vice President of the Great Plains Certification Board. In 2015, he received the Dr. Powell Distinguished Service Award for his contributions to the field of addiction.
