Melinda (Mindy) Iverson is an enrolled member of the White Earth Nation.  She has over 22 years of dedicated, accomplished Executive and HR professional experience with a passion for supporting the White Earth Reservation Tribal Government’s mission and its community members. With a strong commitment to excellence in human resources management, she has played a pivotal role in shaping the organization’s workforce and promoting its overall well-being.

Melinda has a wealth of experience in human resources, with a career spanning 25 several years in both public and private sectors, government, and casino enterprise executive management. Her journey began with a profound commitment to improving the lives of the people she serves. Her professional background includes workforce development, business planning, financial budgeting, employment law, conflict resolution, mediation and setting performance standards.

  • HR Leadership: As the HR Director of the White Earth Reservation Tribal Government Senior HR Director of Pueblo of Isleta, AGM and HR Director of Shooting Star Casinos, Melinda has led the human resources teams, overseeing recruitment, talent development, employee relations, benefits and compensation and strategic HR initiatives. Her leadership has been instrumental in fostering a positive workplace culture.
  • Community Engagement: Melinda recognizes the importance of community engagement and has actively participated in initiatives that bridge the gap between the tribal government and the community. She is dedicated to creating opportunities for community members and enhancing their quality of life.
  • Strategic Planning: Melinda excels in strategic HR planning, aligning HR initiatives with the organization’s broader goals. Her expertise has contributed to the success and sustainability of the White Earth Reservation Tribal Government.

Melinda Iverson’s commitment to her role as HR Director goes beyond her professional responsibilities. She is deeply committed to the well-being of the White Earth community and works tirelessly to create a nurturing and inclusive work environment for all employees.

Melinda has held an Advanced Tribal Human Resource Professional Certification (ATHRP) from Falmouth Institute and the National Native American Human Resource Association and attended Bemidji State University. She is currently a Native Nation Rebuilder, Cohort IV, through the Bush Foundation representing tribes in MN, ND and SD, Chair of the White Earth Tribal Utility Commission, Board Member for the MMCDC, and secretary of the White Earth Outdoor Unity Team for youth.
