Ken Perez

Ken Perez was re-elected to a fourth term on the Pechanga Development Corporation’s (PDC) Board of Directors in 2022. He currently serves as President of the PDC Board. Prior to his election to the PDC Board, Ken served on the Pechanga Tribal Council for five years and was also Chairman of the Pechanga Gaming Commission for three years.

Ken brings more than 30 years of law enforcement and public service experience to the PDC Board.  In 1981, he graduated from the police academy at the Criminal Justice Training Center at Golden West College in Huntington Beach, California and worked his way up through the ranks of Patrol Officer, Detective and Internal Affairs Representative, to Chief of Police.

Ken has served law enforcement agencies in Orange, Los Angeles, and Imperial counties and is an active member of the California Police Chiefs Association. Ken retired in 2000 as Chief of Police for the Calipatria Police Department and returned to his roots, serving as Director of Public Safety for the Pechanga Entertainment Center, where he oversaw security, risk management and emergency medical services.
