Nurse Psychiatrist | Nat-Su Healthcare

Dr. Jessica Sutherland, a dedicated healthcare professional, holds a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree and specializes as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP). Her journey in nursing began as a certified nursing assistant (CNA), where she compassionately cared for Alzheimer’s and dementia patients. Earning her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) in 2018, Jessica discovered her passion for psychiatric nursing, leading her to work as a registered nurse (RN) in a psychiatric hospital.

Driven by a desire to serve underserved communities, Jessica joined Natsu Healthcare, an Indian Health Services (IHS) facility in rural, Tooele, Utah. As an enrolled member of the Navajo Nation, she found profound fulfillment in connecting with Native peoples and their traditions while addressing critical healthcare needs. Recognizing a pressing need for mental health services within the Native community, Jessica embarked on her journey to obtain her DNP-PMHNP.

Today, as a practicing provider, Jessica leverages her expertise to assess, diagnose, and treat patients with psychiatric and mental health disorders across the lifespan in her community. Committed to holistic care and cultural sensitivity, she remains dedicated to improving mental health outcomes and promoting wellness among those she serves.

Outside of her professional endeavors, Jessica’s greatest enjoyment is spending time with her husband, three young children, and two dogs. Additionally, she passionately dedicates herself to homeschooling her children, nurturing their growth and education with love and dedication.
