Dr. Devin Olio, PsyD is a licensed psychologist at Rolling Hills Clinic, owned and operated by the Paskenta Band of Nomlaki Indians and the founder of Emic Health, a company committed to supporting the mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being of Native communities. With over a decade of experience working in partnership with tribal communities, Dr. Olio brings a deep respect for Indigenous knowledge systems and community values to everything he does.

Emic Health was born from Dr. Olio’s passion for helping Native people thrive. His vision centers on creating culturally grounded, integrated mental health services that align with each tribal community’s unique vision and mission. His work is rooted in relationality and the understanding that healing must honor the interconnectedness of the body, mind, and spirit.

Drawing on cultural identity and transpersonal psychology, Dr. Olio’s therapeutic approach honors Native perspectives on wellness and the spiritual dimensions of human experience, challenging narrow, clinical definitions of mental health. He advocates an approach that addresses imbalance across all aspects of life: physical, emotional, mental, social, and spiritual, while fostering connection to community, environment, and our relationship with the creator.

Dr. Olio is honored to walk alongside Native communities as a listener, ally, and advocate. When he’s not working, he enjoys life with his wife and three children. He finds joy in gardening, exploring used bookstores, traveling, fitness, and coaching youth wrestling.
