Dr. Alan Meister is CEO and Principal Economist at Meister Economic Consulting. He specializes in the application of economic analysis to business operations, economic development, public policy, regulatory, and litigation matters. His clients have included gaming facility operators, industry suppliers, investors, governments, and gaming associations. He has extensive experience conducting economic research and analysis in matters involving Indian gaming, and he was previously commissioned by the National Indian Gaming Commission to independently analyze the economic effects of proposed regulatory changes. Dr. Meister has also conducted years of independent, scholarly research on Indian gaming and authored a number of publications, most notably his annual study, the Indian Gaming Industry Report, which has been cited by the United States Supreme Court.
