Roundtable on The State of Housing in Indian Country

September 13, 2012     9:15 AM - 10:45 AM

Although many tribes have enjoyed economic success, that success has not spread throughout Indian Country. Housing in rural areas is notoriously poor, and families often must live in inadequate housing with limited access to public services and infrastructure. What are tribal leaders doing to remedy this situation? How have some tribes effectively dealt with their housing problem, and how can you bring vital infrastructure to your people? In this roundtable, tribal leaders will discuss their housing issues and provide insight into how the lack of adequate housing can be alleviated across Indian Country.
